The rapid development of science and technology has enriched and changed our visual experience. Now color is fully integrated into daily life and has become an important feature of modern life. Among the many elements of design, color is considered to be a major value of the product and is extremely important to both designers and consumers.
Modern hospitals are relatively complex spaces with many functional areas. Different areas have different functions, target different patient groups, and have different color requirements for the medical environment. Therefore, different color environments should be set according to the functional requirements of different areas. Each color has different properties, and the auxiliary and promoting role of color in the medical environment should not be underestimated. In general, the principle that the color of the medical environment should follow is overall unity and local changes. The overall color matching of the medical space environment is divided into three color blocks: basic color, theme color, and embellishment color.
Basic Color
Warm colors that can stabilize the emotions of specific groups of people and reduce the psychological pressure of users should be used as much as possible. Basic colors occupy a larger area of the entire space, which is mainly determined by the inherent colors of the ceiling, floor, and wall interfaces in the space. Many hospitals will choose comfortable colors such as light beige and light beige, and also choose materials with natural properties, which will give people a warm and pleasant feeling.
Theme color
Adjust the color image locally in the space, such as medical furniture, medical equipment, medical facilities, which are the elements of the theme color of the medical space. Proper application can enrich the color tone. Medical furniture can be darker or lighter; you can also use the same color as the main color, change different brightness to achieve good results; or use contrasting colors in gray tones to create a sense of space hierarchy in a unified overall tone.
Accent color
According to the needs of the space, some pure colors can be used as decorative colors of the space. For example, the signs, floor numbers, annotations, road signs, etc. in the space can be expressed with highly recognizable and sensitive colors. Some pure-colored plants, as elements that bring vitality and vigor to the space, are also used as decorative colors to enrich the spatial levels and achieve the effect of adding the finishing touch.
